Patricia Soteropoulos, Ph.D.
Director
Center for Applied Genomics
Research Interests
Microarray technology provides researchers with the ability to easily study tens of thousands of genes or gene products simultaneously. Microarrays have become a standard laboratory tool and have found a role in both basic and applied biological research including the elucidation of pathways and networks, biomarker selection, drug discovery and the development of diagnostic and prognostic tests.
My research program centers on the application and development of microarray methods and technology. The research interests of my laboratory include expression profiling in cancer and infectious diseases and the development of novel DNA nanoarrays , self-reporting microarrays and microfluidic arrays.
